Recently finished watching Ultra Maniac, couldn’t decide if I wanted to draw Nina or Maya more, so “why not both?”
I also have a bunch of papercraft supplies and just wanted to do something different in general - so I just had fun with it. The series has that whole 2000′s teen girl aesthetic so as I was doing this I was thinking about those Purikura photo booth pictures that started around that time
There is just something so satisfying about a full notebook. With the pages becoming softer and worn, flipping easily and each of them marked fully with pencil and pen, doodles and notes, classwork and writing to friends, your own drawings and you friend’s small smiley-faces on the corner, watching the dates pass as you flip through. There is just something so satisfying about the effort put into making it, gradually throughout the days.
